What You Get & How
to Sign Up

|
Your $140 workshop fee
includes all of the following:
|
|
Over
fifty pages of comprehensive instructional handouts on the elements
and techniques of fiction writing, written
exclusively for Honeysuckle Hill Writing Workshop by Mike Sackett.
Why so many handouts? We'll let Mike tell you in his own words: "My
years of teaching have taught me that you can't learn if you're too
busy taking notes. At my workshops, everything is written down
for you. Since little or no note-taking is required, I'm able to guide
you and your fellow students into a thoroughly enjoyable, freewheeling
and practical discussion of your individual needs. It's been my experience
that's the best way to learn."
|
|
Your
personally autographed hard cover copy of Mike Sackett's latest novel,
The Striped Lion. What's
more, several pages of your handouts are keyed to passages from Mike's
book, so you can see how the theory you're learning is actually
applied in a real novel.
|
|
|
|
A
Certificate of Achievement, suitable for framing,
testifying that you have met the stringent requirements of the Honeysuckle
Hill Writing Workshop curriculum. Your Certificate is both
a statement of your serious intent as a writer and an impressive addition
to your resume'.
|
|
A
hearty lunch will be provided, along with snacks and beverages.
Our chef
will guard the door at the end of the day to ensure that no student leaves
our workshop hungry, (except hungry to get started using your new writing
skills).
|
|
Weather
permitting, you might choose to walk off your meal with an
afternoon stroll through the woods to
take in some gorgeous views of Loch Raven Watershed. If you're lucky,
you may even catch a glimpse of the red fox, deer and beaver that make
their home on Honeysuckle Hill.
|
|
Ladies
with a penchant for body art will receive a delicate red rose painted
on their hands. (Don't
worry, it washes off.)
|
|
Finally,
since a portion of your workshop fee goes to support Partners In Conservation's
vital work, you may also experience
the quiet satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference...to
the children of the Imbabazi Orphanage and to the mountain gorillas of
Rwanda.
