Saving the Mountain Gorilla

Partners In Conservation's fundraising efforts on behalf of Rwanda's endangered mountain gorilla are crucial to the survival of these magnificent animals. In addition to providing veterinary care and health services to the gorillas, PIC also funds the total operating budget of Rwanda's Imbabazi Orphanage, many of whose 100+ children are the innocent victims of recent genocidal wars.

Mike Sackett is personally involved with PIC director, Charlene Jendry and noted animal expert, Jack Hanna, in efforts to raise additional funds for PIC's vital work.

Mike has generously donated his advance and all royalties from the first printing of his award-winning novel, The Striped Lion, to PIC.

Since Honeysuckle Hill Writing Workshop donates a portion of each workshop fee to Partners In Conservation, all workshop participants can experience the quiet satisfaction of knowing their participation helps make a difference...to the Imbabazi children and to the mountain gorillas of Rwanda.
